For years now I have been hearing reports of cities purchasing a few
low emission buses as 'experiments' or 'demonstrations'. Are any cities
getting into this on a large scale? These buses run on various low pollution
systems such as natural gas, hydrogen, electric-hybrid, hydrogen/hybrid,
etc. Any wonks on this topic on the list to give us a brief update on this
technology? Why or why not should MTC start running these buses on the
streets of Mpls, especially on routes that run through neighborhoods proven
to have air pollution problems?

I, for one, feel that benefit or harm to children is an extremely
important factor to weigh in the arguments for or against any particular
policy or program.
