Eight current and former employees
of Hennepin County Medical Center
said Wednesday that they have filed
a discrimination lawsuit against the
county, claiming that the Minneapolis
hospital has made it nearly impossible
for black workers to be promoted.

During the announcement outside HCMC,
they said the suit was the last thing
they wanted to do but felt they had
no choice.
