Charon Dow still searching for justice By: Isaac Peterson, III Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder Originally posted 1/3/2003
Mother wont give up fight for injured son Charon Dow says that her son, Mallik, was the victim of a hit-and-run incident by an inebriated off-duty Minneapolis police officer on February 15, 2001. Her story was first made public in the September 12-18, 2002, issue of the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder. Mallik Dow spent his eighth birthday hospitalized on a morphine drip. He has mostly recovered from his injuries, but the Dow family suffered another setback when Ezra, Malliks brother, was removed from their home by Child Protective Services in March, 2001. Almost a year later, the Dows have been to just about every city and county agency and department, but have yet to receive any satisfaction from the local government bureaucracies. http://www.spokesman-recorder.com/News/Article/Article.asp?NewsID=20940&sID=13&Search=YES Shawn Lewis, Field Neighborhood -- _______________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup Meet Singles http://corp.mail.com/lavalife _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
