I'm beginning to see the benefits of just lurking and
not answering. This will be the last DFL post I try to
add some accurate info to, although it's apparent John
is not looking for truth or solution, just a fence to
throw his mud on. This whole post could have been sent
to me in private.

I was answering the inquiries on what HAS the DFL done
to encourage participation. If you read my post from
today (and the one in response to your post)you will
see the effort is ongoing. Let's cut the buzzwords and
tell me what don't I get. Nobody said the efforts were
great, just they are that, efforts where there were
none.

As far as my response saddening you, buck up. I'm
amazed at the people who've written offline about the
efforts. It's encouraging and let's me know we're at
least going in the right direction.

Do you understand that the Party endorses candidates
(in May) and voters vote in the primaries(in
September). Sometimes they don't deliver the endorsed
candidate. Should we force or strong arm other
challengers out of the race? Again, the state DFL
endorsed and ran candidates of color for EVERY level
of political jurisdiction they have (Federal,
Constitutional, County and Legislative). Darryl
Stanton, candidate for US House dist 3, was still on
the ballot. Maybe you should be talking to the voters
in Minneapolis about that. In my opinion, you had a
great Mayor who was African American that turned that
city around and it wasn't good enough.

What's the point of this paragraph? To try and flame
me or make yourself seem so smart by saying nothing?
Congradulations. My earlier posts were simply
correcting the lies. You're a perfect example, you've
moved from saying the DFL has done nothing to saying
the DFL hasn't done enough. I agree, but we're still
working it everyday John. Historical context? I'm part
of a staff that came in three years ago, give or take
a few months. Where were you when things were going to
hell? Anyone who is semi-literate read that much more
has gone into our efforts outside of 'opening the
door'. Go back and re-read it, unless your point is to
try and be a smartass. For your entertainment, here's
some real Dubya speak- "I shall be compassionate and
end this thread and conservative enough to keep the
rest of my comments to myself."
