FYI This month the City Council will formally consider NRP Phase II
On Friday July 18 there will be a study session beginning at 9 am. This will not be a public hearing although it is open to the public to attend. Then on the following Monday there will be a Special Joint Committee Hearing on the NRP Ordinance in a special meeting of the Ways and Means/Budget and Community Development Committees. It has been called for a public hearing to consider the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Ordinance. The public hearing is an important opportunity for the public to comment on the ordinance that establishes funding priorities for NRP, Phase II, and related amendments. Decisions made on this ordinance will help determine the future of NRP. The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on July 21 in room 317 of City Hall (the regularly scheduled Ways & Means Committee meeting will follow the public hearing). It is possible that the full Council will consider the ordinance the following Friday afternoon, but I am have not heard yet. Of all of these I think the hearing on 7/21 is the most important meeting to be at if you want your views on NRP known. I beleive that the proposed ordinance can still be found on Council Members Lane's web site via the city address. in cooperation, Cam Gordon Seward Neighborhood, Minneapolis, Ward 2 SD 59 (612) 332-6210, 296-0579, 339-2452 TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1.
