The Bean Scene, is now OPEN at West Bro and Penn. The impresario is Dean Rose, owner of BLO, Broadway Liquor Outlet, also at West Bro and Penn. This former BurgerKing site now offers a top notch coffee and beverage selection. Additional offerings are FRESH Deli sandwich plates, soups, and lovely pastries. He has spared no expense in the makeover; and even includes WI-FI and Internet terminals for customers. Even the Mens' Room is unique with ALL HANDSFREE, soap, water, and towel dispensers (OH-fun).
One particularly unique, and welcome amenity of the NEW Bean Scene is a DRIVE THRU SERVICE WINDOW. Eat your heart out all you Southsiders; then come on over to West Broadway. We are the "Avenue with the Most Potential" and poised to be Uptown North (just look at the map). On a personal note- I have written of other people running off with "West Broadway's Juice" to other parts of the Northside. Now I will personally invite ALL to come over and GRAB a cupful. With the DRIVE THRU you won't even need to change old habits, and get out of your car; but I bet you will want to enjoy the wonderful, warm spaces Dean created inside. Sleek couches, tables, and counters fill the interior space and solarium (yep-got one), and ample parking and access is out front. Dean tells me that local art and entertainers will be on the "Scene" in the near future.
