Are you satisfied joining the naysayers, the do no

Do you wonder how the RiverPlace buildings were built without taking down the

if we have thinkers that vote for Crown Hydro.

Crown Hydro would change the Mill Ruins Park from a deconstructionist un-park
into a working park with a historical installation. Just say nay?

The Crown Hydro proponents keep trying to reframe the discussion from "is this specific hydro project a good project for Minneapolis, weighing all risks, costs and benefits" to "you are either for clean, renewable energy and likewise for this project, OR you are against renewable energy and energy independence and good future." This is both false and disingenuous.

How many of the Crown Hydro proponents out there are currently using Xcel's Windsource program? If you are a proponent of this project and use any kind of renewable energy argument, and you are NOT using Windsource, you are a hypocrite. Put your money where your mouth is and sign up for Windsource.

Crown Hydro says they will generate enough electricity for 2,700 households. If 2,700 households (there are about 160,000 households in Minneapolis if memory serves) were to sign-up for Windsource for all of their electricity, there would be zero need for Crown Hydro at all. Or, using Xcel Energy's 700 kilowatt hour usage per month average for a household, if 18,900 households spent just $2 a month more to buy 100 kilowatt hours from Windsource, there would be no need for Crown Hydro. That is, about 11% of the households in Minneapolis, spending only $2 a month, could reduce fossil fuel consumption by the same amount as Crown Hydro.

Just what is wrong with the current Xcel plant? Jeff Fellows continues to insult me ("do no gooder" and "naysayer" and non-"thinker" by implication) simply because I am not in favor of buying him a new hydro plant. New is not equivalent to better all the time.

Lastly, Jeff Fellows has a lot of nerve to call the Mill Ruins Park a "deconstructiontist un-park" and to imply that Crown Hydro will make it better with its historical installation. The historical experts are opposed to this project. What are Jeff Fellows' credentials for speaking authoritatively on what is historic or not?
