Dyna The Command center is staffed any time it's on the street,

I realize that's the plan, problem is that when MPD is short staffed officers have to pulled off of routine details like the Mobile Command Unit and sent to work higher priority calls. Much of the blame for this situation goes to the Bush administration, which is quite willing to belatedly fund expensive "homeland security" toys like the Mobile Command Unit but unwilling to pay the costs of staffing same. In contrast, the last Democratic president, and an elected one at that, gave our cities over 100,000 "Clinton cops". Given the priority John Kerry has given real homeland security, we can probably expect "Kerry Cops" if the Republicans don't steal another election.

and has been all week end you can tour it just knock on the door.

With the shades usually drawn I figured they didn't want to be bothered even if they were home.

If it's not on the street it's just parked in a parking lot. This was not purchased just for this purpose.

Like many of the Republican's "homeland security" purchases, I suspect it was funded and bought to create very profitable business for the manufacturer rather than enhance our city's or nation's security.
