There was an admission charge, $10 per person, $5 for students (I guess
students count as half a person), and several thousand more was raised during the
program.

A process server from Arkansas was on hand to give Nader a summons to appear
in court to respond to a lawsuit to keep him off the ballot in Arkansas. The
document was about an inch and one-half thick.

It was also announced that Nader got on the ballot in Minnesota. The
secretary of state's office validated about 4,700 of the signatures that were turned
in, throwing out about 100. We need fewer than 2,000 valid signatures to get
Nader on the ballot.

Last evening, our Minneapolis household got a call from a guy who asked my
wife if she had signed a petition to put Ralph Nader on the ballot. He didn't
identify himself. However, we have caller ID. The phone number is 651 379-0200.
My wife called back. I called this morning and got a recorded message saying
that "you have reached the Lakes and Plains region of the Carpenters and
Joiners [union]."
