As I'm sure all you politico junkies have already heard, Rep. Kahn pleaded guilty for stealing campaign literature today. I personally like Kahn's legislative history, particularly her tenacity on the nuclear storage issue and her stand on the medical marijuana issue (chief author status on the Compassionate Use Act). I always thought she was sharp in Committee hearings as well (when I worked for the House - LOTS of Committee hearings). But maybe it's time for some new lefty blood?

State Rep. Phyllis Kahn pleaded guilty to theft on Thursday for stealing campaign literature.

Hennepin County District Judge Stephen Aldrich ordered Kahn to pay $200 in prosecution costs but agreed to defer any additional sentence for a year and dismiss the misdemeanor case then as long as Kahn has no similar violations.

Kahn did not appear in court on Thursday, but pleaded guilty through her attorney.
