Here are three good websites for this election. . .

* www.vote-smart.org This website is a national website but can provide info on candidates by zipcode.

* www.lwvmn.org The League of Women Voters - always a good source

* www.myballot.net This e-democracy site hasn't yet updated the ballot for Nov 2 but should be doing so soon.

Hope this helps.

Can you lot direct me to some good on-line resources for the upcoming election? And maybe a .pdf of the ballot? I'm interested in learning more about the candidates for the end-of-ballot offices like judges, soil-and-water conservation district people and all the minor ones who often run unopposed. (I assume some of these are city officials, or at least that asking about Hennepin County officials fits under the mandate of the list.)

I have been out of the US for the past few months and am noticably out-of-it. If you reply to me directly, I'll concatenate the responses and post that here.

Karen Cooper,
heading home to vote in Tangletown
