Process?...there is no process here..this has become a underhanded way for
the DFL to get the person they want as the Superintendent without regard to
the rest of the board. This is the reason for the rancor by citizens who
would like to see a *process* that is legitimate. A Superintendent should
not be indebted to anyone or party and this is not the case with Gurban.

We need three qualitative candidates on the floor to be voted on by a board
without bias. What is wrong with that request? What is not civil about the
request? Are we not trying to get the best candidate possible? I do not
believe that candidates would drop out of a race when they are intelligent
enough to figure out the citizens are trying to get an honest race. An
intelligent candidate, on the other hand, would dignify a drop out if they
knew the process was slanted.

We have paid for a candidate search...so get three candidates that the
board can make a decision which is open and honest. If one drops out before
a decision.. another one is added from the pool. Make sure their
qualifications are worthy of our park system. Anytime someone would submitt
a candidate *with reservations*...I would question that candidate and the
person/company submitting ...as of why. Once we get 3 candidates...
let the process proceed.
