Please attend the next meeting of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
When: Wednesday, January 19 at 5:00pm. Where: 2117 West River Road -- the Park Board "Taj Mahal" headquarters building
The official agenda has not yet been published on the Park Board website at this late hour, but according to an associate who received a copy of it in the mail, it includes the following items of interest:
1. All of the currently signed up speakers for public open time are from Nicollet Island, and include State Representative Phyllis Kahn. (I suspect the proposed sale of park land to DeLaSalle High School is the topic.)
2. Under Intergovernmental Affairs, one of desired bonding projects on the legislative agenda is the Marina That Would Not Die (http://www.mplsparkwatch.org/node/view/28).
