The candidate forum at Phelps Park in the 8th Ward was interesting. The
candidates are becoming more confident and comfortable with their positions.
"Undecideds" are probably still hoping to see some differences in the office
seekers. The five hopefuls have a little over a week to make their case.

Lest we forget the "L" in DFL, I'll pass along this message from the Marie
Hauser campaign:

Minnesota DRIVE endorses Marie Hauser
The Minnesota Teamsters political committee, Minnesota DRIVE (Democrat
Republication Independent Voter Education) commission has endorsed Marie Hauser
for the Minneapolis City Council – Ward 8. Don Gerdesmeier, DRIVE
representative and political director said, “We know [Marie] will work to
protect the rights of Minnesota’s working men and women. We wish [her] great
success.” Teamsters Joint Council 32 represents 65,000 members in 19 affiliated
local unions.
The DFL endorsing convention for the 8th Ward will be held on Saturday, April
30 at Martin Luther King Park, 41st & Nicollet. For additional information go
