ATTENTION CENTRAL RESIDENTS The Central Area Neighborhood Development Organization, CANDO, is a resident driven organization in the Central neighborhood, initiated in the fall of 2004 by residents serving on the Central Weed and Seed Steering Committee. To date, CANDO has not applied to be recognized by the City of Minneapolis as the citizen participation group for the Central neighborhood, nevertheless, the organization operates as an all inclusive entity with a Board of Directors elected in staggered terms by the general membership each year. The membership of CANDO invites you to attend a brief community meeting directly following the STARS performance at Pillsbury House Theatre on Tuesday, May 31st. This meeting will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. and conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to inform community members of the mission of the organization, announce the regular meeting schedule of CANDO, outline the time line for the annual meeting, as well as the eligibility requirements for membership, voting, and board elections, and to distribute copies of the organizational bylaws. There will be an opportunity for questions as time allows. Please join us as we formally announce our presence in the community.
