As far as I know, all the other Minneapolis groups sat down and talked with candidates before deciding who to endorse.
But perhaps they already knew who they wanted to endorse beforehand, and didn't want to be distracted by actually hearing the candidates explain their positions. While I agree with several of the Park Board Reform's positions, I wonder about the wisdom of endorsing candidates without actually screening them. Why should they, Tim? To your knowledge has any of the Gang of Five, including your fave candidate Carol Kummer, "found religion" lately? I think the members of this organization (and this listserv) are well acquainted with the positions and public statements of the candidates running for Park Board, including the incumbents, and are basing their endorsements on those positions.
