Having subjected myself to more than one MPS board meeting, I must thank Sarah Greenfield for this thread and her report on Tuesday's meeting and her own thoughts for providing a greater voice from the public to the board. Public meetings can be pretty exasperating and more so as the issues and participants grow, so something must be done.
One thing that occurred to me while reading Greenfield's post was that MPS owns a radio station, KBEM is it?, and that a call in show to various MPS board and staff might provide a way for folks without the persistance, time, or gumption to gain a voice heard by MPS. It should not be Saturday mornings though, since I listen to Bluegrass on KBEM many of those. Bill Kahn waiting for Sat. morning in Prospect Park REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
