Location: Mpls. Park Board HQ, 2117 West River Road
Special meeting of the Committee of the Whole to discuss the 2006 budget in
detail. Scheduled for one hour, 5pm to 6pm. This may be your only chance to
learn any details at all about next year's park system budget. Supporting
documents include a one page summary of commissioners' priorities and a one
page summary of budget categories. Such details as have never been seen
before! (Not even close to a budget by program or by line item.)

Location: unknown
Court trial for $1.8 million lawsuit filed against the Park Board by
contractors not paid for work at the Park Board's "201 building" at Ft.
Snelling. This trial was reported earlier this year by local newspapers, but
I have been unable to find out where/when the trial will be held despite
contacts made with the county courts, city hall, and others. If anyone knows
where this is being held, or if it has been moved, or other information,
please let us know.
