For today it is a sweet smell and I have many of you to thank for this
victory. This Minneapolis Issues list is awesome and many of you stuck
with me through this very contentious election.
I want to especially thank and give the Gold Medal of Stature and Loyalty
to Ken Jerome-Stern who served as my Campaign (manager) chief cook and
bottle washer since November of 2004. His loyalty was uncanny. Our
volunteers were bar-none.
I also want to thank the original Park Watch folks who stuck with the Park
Board these last 2 years being the watchdogs and raising the awareness of
citizens throughout the City about the actions of the Park Board. Whether
you like their style or their take on things, they did create and generate
interest in the Park Board.
A special thanks to all those who ran in the campaign season for all of the
offices. It is not easy being a candidate and putting yourself out in the
public eye.
Please feel free to stop by Park Board Meetings on the 1st and 3rd
Wednesdays and be interested in what the Park Board is up to. It is your
6500 acres, it is your urban forest, it is your lakes, streams and river.
They are your parks. Let me know if you have a problem in the parks.
Keep the faith and PEACE,
Thank you very much,
Annie Young
Re-elected citywide Park Commissioner
