I can't say a lot about Ward 9, but I couldn't let this comment about Sandy
Colvin Roy's "positive campaign" go unanswered, though I apologize for the
delay:

Does this strike anyone as an example of "positive campaigning?"

This is a lit piece that Colvin Roy distributed to Ward 12 residents.

If you look carefully at Colvin Roy's attack piece, she is being
INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING. The piece is conflating two different Klodt
developments: Hiawatha Oaks and Hiawatha Flats. The McDonald campaign
put out a piece of lit asking neighbors if they want the behemoth
Hiawatha FLATS complex in their neighborhood. In the Colvin Roy piece,
she shows a letter of support for Hiawatha OAKS from the Project Review
Committee.

Kevin took the high road, and also had legitimate issues to raise in
this campaign and he raised them. The campaign did its best to educate
voters and the media about some very complex issues going on in Ward 12.
