Is it customary (beneficial ??) to have OS/390 processes write to a locally managed queue and to have that queue pushed by the server to a remote managed queue (hub) in a non OS/390 environment. Why not let clients (Linux/VM in my case) connect directly to the OS/390 managed queue ?

I'm sure there's a logical reason why OS/390 support is refusing to allow this. Seems we will have to pay double the charges to utilize 2 queues.
