Arun,
the QDEPTH may include messages that are either expired or have been out
under syncpoint but have not been commited yet. Both situations will result
in the behavior you see.
What put options and message attributes are you using when putting the
message to the queue? Did you specify MQPMO_SYNCPOINT?
