Now that I look at it, no.  It appears they are just unique strings (letters & numbers).

I don't think so, I tried it out with the exerciser you get with MQ for Win2k.  Do you still have time stamps on 5.2 ?

I'm not sure if it has changed since I'm still using v5.2.   But remember that if the DynamicQueueName of the MQOD is not terminated with an asterisk, then the unique portion of the name will not be generated.  Could an application be doing this inadvertently?

I could have sworn that the unique part of a dynamic queue name used to be something that looked like a date/time stamp.  Now it looks to have changed (at least on my 5.3 system on Win 2K).

 

Can anyone else confirm when this changed and what it is now.  It's not a big deal, I'm just curious.
