Did you try pinging using the DNS to see if your DNS server is functioning?

Hi, One of the systems I support is at MQ version 1.2, OS/390 2.7.0, using
the CA IP stack and IUCV. After a recent IPL any sender channels that were
using DNS names instead of direct IP address would not connect/run. Once
the DNS names were changed to direct IP addresses they connected and ran
OK.
Of course we are out of support on MQ 1.2. I'm hoping I can jog someone's
memory and see if anyone has seen this before and may recollect what caused
it.

Thanks in advance!

Rick
