If you are upgrading Windows WMQ 5.3 to CSD03, make sure you hide the icon (or take it out of your start menu and reboot).  If you get a “files are still in-use” this may be the culprit.  Just killing the service doesn’t always seem to work, as the system tray appears to re-generate it?

If you still can’t apply the CSD, try these 2 utilities to see who is still locking the MQ files:

Just some 2-cents from a problem I was having.

Amqmtbrn on Windows platforms provides the task bar/ system tray icon that you can use to access MQ services. If you 'hide' the icon, running amqmtbrn from a command prompt will get it back.
