32 bit Oracle 9.2.0 running on Solaris We are receiving a generic error listener: ORA-28575: unable to open RPC connection to external procedure agent
Our DBA staff, and now Oracle support, have gone over the configuration files without success. The problem is not with the support pac since the error message indicates that Oracle is never getting far enough to try and execute it. I'll let the list know what happens. We are running this on Oracle 9.0.1.4.0. When we upgraded the Oracle Listener we got the ORA-28595 message. Check your Oracle websites - there's a note on External Procedures and ORA-28595 - Loading DLLs for Oracle9i release 2 - we had to add an environment variable EXTPROC_DLLS in the LISTENER.ORA file. There are examples in the notes on Oracle website. The last weekend my development database was upgraded from 8.1.7 to 9.2.0 (on Solaris) and it has not run since. It is never getting to MQ so that is not an issue, It seems to be a problem with the listener configuration based on the error messages, but other listeners are working fine. I have not even recompiled the shared objects at this point, because I did not think it would matter. Anyone have any experience with it? __________________ r dirk tolson Systems Engineer Savannah River Site dirk.tolson at srs.gov Aiken, SC 29808 Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive
