Hi Peter, I have been working on limiting the access of individuals to certain queues/qmgrs for some time now. I first gave connect authority to the user abc123 on QM1, and limited access to certain queues on QM1. Then I signed on as abc123 but could not bring up MQExplorer at all. I don't remember the exact error message I got, but something to the effect that "...the user did not have atuthority".
