There are several considerations to your question, best addressed in the
following IBM "red book"  -  see section 2.2 on pages 15 thru 22.  This book
lists the different broker capabilities and migration scenarios.

Note that the MA0C package currently has a support drop date (2006 ?) - I
have seen this date extended in the past and there is a migration path to
the other brokers, however the formal brokers are favored.  MA0C is a good
light broker solution.
