Kerry,

Yes. I'm asking our mainframe person to check if we have the client
component installed at all. I got "Error connecting via client to 'MQSZ'
RC(2059) QMgr not available." at the bottom of the monitor screen.

thanks,
Ben

Howzit Ben,

Is the original monitoring issue still outstanding?

How to know if "Client Attachment Feature" (CAF) is installed on z/OS? It
is separate product from WMQ.

To find out if you have CAF installed on z/OS, look at xxxxCHIN
started-task
(on z/OS under SDSF, Display Active) for the following:
+CSQX099I xxxx CSQXGIP Client attachment feature available

where xxxx is the z/OS queue manager name.

Thanks
    Frank

... but how can I check if MQClient component has been installed on an
os/390 platform? I'm not a mvs person.

thanks,

Howzit bfz,

We don't have the client on OS/390 so we configure the monitoring via a
Windows qmgr? RU using the client or not?
