Frank, I have not set up an LDAP. But uses a flat file as the JNDI service provider.

To do that, in the JMSadmin.config file, choose the initial context fctory as 'filesystem'
and in the provider url, specify the file name along with the complete path.

Here is the what I have in my config file.

INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY=com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory
PROVIDER_URL=file:/app/bea/PJTEST/weblogic81/config/mqjndi

And now when qcf,queue definitions etc are made, it gets stored in the flat file called mqjndi.

"MQ using Java " has more details. HTH,  Prince

Prince

Thanks for your interest.  I was out of the office a little early last Friday.

I do not have LDAP or any of the other options for holding the connection information.  If I could obtain a sample of how to go to a flat file, I believe I can get it to work. Do you know of a way to just point to a simple flat file?

Thanks again
Frank

Frank, Even I am not an expert with JMS. But, let me try..

When do you get this error? When tried to connect to the QCF??

Have you created the QCF and queue definitions using the  JMSAdmin tool?
And make sure that the initial context factory and provider url has the same value as that set in JMSAdmin.config file.

Thanks, Prince

I do not know much about JMS.

I am attempting to use support pac MA0S under V5.3 MQ Client CSD05.  I get
the following error:

Exception thrown in jmsConnect
java.lang.ClassCastException

Is there something simple I could do to get this to work?   Can I just
create a flat file to hold the connection factory info/JNDI parameters?

Thanks
    Frank
