You could format the output into a message, write that message to a queue
and then have a script (PERL) take the output and write it to a file which
could be sensitive to the fact that the message for that dat exist and do an
append or create a new file.

Samuel,

If you are using WBIMB, then you can change the file path of the trace node
to point to a different file
using the BAR file configurable properties, and then redeploy using the BAR
file.
I know it would be nice if the file path of the trace node can be set from
within the flow, but this
Is a functionality that doesn't exist at the moment.

Cheers
Ahmed

Subject: Trace Nodes in WMQI

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to have the trace
written out to different files without
changing the trace node?

For example, for date 20-10-2004, the trace should be
written to Trace.out.201004
and for date 21-10-2004, the trace should be written
to Trace.out.211004

The reason i ask is that the trace files tend to grow
and the only way I can delete this is by
stopping the flow first and then deleting the file.

Thanks,
Samuel.
