Paul,

Thanks for providing this utility! Most of the queue load/unload utilities out
there do not allow restoring the context fields and this is critical for some
tasks. I think we'll be using this a lot.

There is a typo in Table 4. Nothing big but I thought you might save the
correction for an eventual future release of the support pac.

If you ever do think of releasing an enhancement, please cast my vote for using
command-line options to specify the client connection, similar to the client
version of MS03. Environment vars are not always reliable when you have
multiple instances running inside of mod-perl or perlex on a web server.
Passing parms on the command line simplifies things and eliminates the need to
spawn an extra sub-shell to run the command. I know you said "this is a simple
program with little sophistication" but you also asked for suggestions. ;-)

Subject: MQ Queue Load/Unload Utility MO03

Hi all,

I have just received word that my latest SupportPac MO03 is available on
the MQ SupportPac Web Site.

MO03 is a fairly simple utility which allows the user to unload a queue to
a file and then at some later date restore the messages to the same or
different queue. The file itself is in a simple character format so it can
be modified in an editor or perhaps e-mailed to someone else. The utility
can also understand the output of AMQSBCG so messages can be restored on a
queue from a previous queue browse. Some simple filtering can be applied to
the messages processed such as message content or message position.

It is a simple command line program which runs on AIX, HP-UX, Linux,
Solaris and Windows.

I wrote this SupportPac because I was getting a couple of e-mails a month
asking me how to make my SupportPac MA01 behave as a Queue Load/Unload
utility. So, you can all stop asking now :-)

As usual, any comments and suggestions about MO03 always welcome but please
bear in mind that the intention is that this is a simple program with
little sophistication.
Cheers,
P.
