Norbert,
It is true that the documentation has changed between V5.3.1 and V6.0 in the area of the number of active logs that can be used. However, this was not due to "Big Blue" decreasing the number that were supported, it was infact due to the fact that it was incorrectly documented in the first place. Our trend is to support more resources instead of less, as demonstrated by the support of 64Gb pagesets in V6 compared to the previous 4Gb. Can I suggest that if you feel that the current limit of 31 active logs is to low that you talk to your IBM rep to raise a formal request for more to be supported.
Thanks
Paul

That's it, Roland,
there's a mismatch in documentation !
GC34-6051-00(V5.3.0) and GC34-6051-01(V5.3.1) report of up to 53 active log
datasets.
GC34-6582-00(V6.0) report of up to 31 active log datasets.
I can't believe that Big Blue DECREASES the maximum number from one release
to the next.
Thanks Roland.
Regards,
Norbert
