Paul, I've been playing around with the Problem Checking capability of MO71. Cool.
When you are in the Verify View, and you have clusters, you list members and repositories, that I get. But you also list some QMs as Publish and Subscribe. How do you decide a QM should be tagged with that? Reason is occasionally I see QMs that have no connection at all to a cluster, but yet show up as only a Publish in that cluster. For some reasons, under problems, all my clusters are saying they only have 1 Full Repository, but they all have 2. Under the Clusters section, they all are reporting 2 FRs as well. Suggestion - When looking at remote queue defs in a cluster, its valid for them not to have a XMITQ defined, but MO71 tags it as a problem. This was a good thing to use. I fixed about a hundred little things in my system (channel defs mismatched, remote q defs pointing at non existent targets, triggered queues that were missing init queues, so obviously the app queue is obsolete and could be deleted, etc) Anal MQ Admins will love it. -Peter -----Original Message----- From: MQSeries List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Paul Clarke Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 2:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Obsolete queues - maybe MO71 can help? Peter, In MO71 in the network view you can expand a local queue definition and see which remote queue and alias queue definitions point to it. Similarly if a remote queue or alias queue is defined that doesn't point to a defined local queue it will highlight it as a 'problem'. Cheers, P.
