Alan,

in cluster with MQ V6 and this behaviour may be changed by some
parameters, although by default it works same way as with 5.3.

Re: Cluster Problem

I a cluster the message will ALWAYS go to the local queue if your cluster
contains queues of the same name. Make the names unique and you will have
the message flow you are looking for.

Cluster Problem

Hi all
I am new to WMQ clustering and trying to build cluster between two QMGR on
our test environment. Each QMGR on a separate LPAR and connected to a CICS
region in its’ home LPAR.
On Lpar1
CQZ1 QMGR
cqz1 is defined as full repository.
cqz1 has sender and receiver channels.
Test.cluster.queue defined to the cluster CLS1.
QMGR cqz1 is connected to cicz1.
On Lpar2
CQZ2 QMGR.
cqz2 is defined as full repository.
cqz2 has sender and receiver channels.
Test.cluster.queue defines to cluster CLS1.
QMGR cqz2 is connected to cicz2.
The channels between both QMGR(subsystems ) are in run status(connected) .

When running the following JCL to put a messages to the
Test.cluster.queue

//PUTMSGS EXEC PGM=CSQ4BVK1,REGION=1024K,
//             PARM=('CQZ2,TEST.CLUSTER.QUEUE,10,2,5,P')
//STEPLIB   DD DSN=SOFTT.WMQ.V600.CQZ2.SCSQAUTH,DISP=SHR
//          DD DSN=SOFTT.WMQ.V600.SCSQAUTH.PTF,DISP=SHR
//          DD DSN=SOFTT.WMQ.V600.SCSQANLE.RT,DISP=SHR
//          DD DSN=SOFTT.WMQ.V600.USEROBJ,DISP=SHR
//SYSDBOUT  DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSABOUT  DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSPRINT  DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSOUT    DD SYSOUT=*
The messages appear only in the cluster queue ‘TEST.CLUSTER.QUEUE ‘ that
defined to cqz2 QMGR and not to cqz1 cluster queue ‘TEST.CLUSTER.QUEUE’.
Am I missing something in my definitions.
I appreciate you help
Thanks,
