I worked several years as developer using the "vi" editor - it HAS such things,
like online help and many other features. I also know, that I know only a small
part of the ISPF editor - although I work several years on z/OS systems. I also
worked with xedit on z/VM and with EVE (or ED/TPU) on VMS. and I am pretty
sure, that all these editors are very powerful. It depends on the environment
and the experiences of the user, which editor is better, faster, more powerful,
etc.

I would say:

- on Unix -> vi (better, the GNU-version "vim")
- on Windows -> Wordpad, Notepad, WinWord
- on z/OS -> ISPF-Editor
- etc.

Although I like "vi" I never would use it in ISPF ;-)

You can only physically correct one line at a time. BUT if your changes are all
the same, try using the 'all' verb.
