Thanks to all repliers.  I think part of my problem might be due to my 
maintenance level (CSD5).  We haven't had any problems up until now and 
even then it's a rare issue.  I'm going to try to review what's been fixed 
since CSD5.  Upgrading to V6 is in the plans, so no CSDs will be applied.

I've had to deal with eTrust on Solaris 8 servers with WMQ v5.3 installed 
and it was not fun.
