If the channel you defined via the explorer was called SYSTEM.something
then by default it will be hidden from view in the explorer. If you click
on the icon in the top right of the channels view pane that looks like a
box with a plus and minus sign on the left of it, you will see all the
SYSTEM objects too.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Subject
Usage question regarding WebSphere MQ Explorer on Windows.

Greetings

My background is WebSphere MQ for z/OS, but I am supporting some MQ
testing
on windows, I have down loaded and install a trial WebSphere MQ V6 on a
windows box.

Have used the explorer product to define channels, but can not see then
once I have successfully defined them. I can confirm that the receiver
channel exists, because I can start it from the mainframe.

Like I originally stated, I mostly work on the mainframe. I am not sure if
the reason that I can not view the channels can be attributed to a product
problem or a user error on my part.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Stu
