Hi Roger, Sorry to be a middle man, and I must admit to not knowing much about the subject, but here is the response I got from the developer. I do want to know more about the (XA) requirements.
"XA transaction can be used only when we connect in MQSeries binding mode and run the java code on the same machine as the MQ Server because it requires all the files(including the switch files) that are installed with the server. ETC is used if we connect in MQSeries client mode. (XA transactions cannot be executed using client mode without ETC) This product needs to be installed on client machine." We have not purchased the extended client with transaction support. For Java MQ and XA transactions, you do not need an XA Switch file but rather you need ETC and a transaction coordinator (i.e. WAS, WebLogic or Encina).
