Peter,
I've been thinking about that. This queue manager has only a few
channels, but I'd like to get as many of the processes under the queue
manager control as feasible. I've been looking through the Command
reference and although there are plenty of options I'm thinking
something simple like:

DEFINE LISTENER NEWLISTENER TPTYPE(TCP) CONTROL(QMGR) PORT(1414)

Do I need to specify BACKLOG or IPADDR? Again this is a pretty straight
forward installation.

at the very least get rid of inetd and replace it with runmqlsr.

Thanks Bobbee. This one only has the strmqm, strmqcsv, and the
runmqtrm in the start up and endmqm -i in the stop. It is still using
etc/services and inetd.conf for the listener. I'm wondering if there is
any good reason to change.

If you have one of those scripts that takes down the
QMGR manually (kills processes) you may want to check the order and
number of processes that need to be taken down.

                        Listers,
Is there any need to change the
START/STOP scripts when upgrading from WMQ5.3 to WMQ6.0? Particularly in
regards to starting a trigger monitor and/or listener?
