Hi, Are you saying that MQ Explorer v5.3 did a 'Non-destructive Get with Convert' and now MQ Explorer v6 only does a 'Non-destructive Get'?
Or did the message's MQMD.format field change from containing 'MQSTR' to blank? There is a long list of MQ Tools at: http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_tools.html i.e. - MQ Visual Edit - MO71 - IH03 - MQJExplorer - etc... All of tools can show you message content in a variety of formats and styles. I can't comment on the other tools but MQ Visual Edit can convert EBCDIC to ASCII regardless of the MQMD.format field value.
