Neil,

It now appears that MQ 6.0.2.2 can RECEIVE a file in DER format and not #07
format. We have done extensive testing on this.

IBM have stated that they acknowledge there is a problems with RECEIVE and
that we should look to use GSK7capicmd.exe.

Although GSK7capicmd.exe does work, we are happy to continue with our
standard signing process and use RECEIVE in DER format.

Hope this helps

Regards

Fez.

Thanks for the info Fez. Please update when you have tried out the
workaround, and when you get the response from IBM.

Neil,

Thanks for that. I will try your suggestion.

I have raised a ticket with IBM yesterday - it will be interesting what IBM
say.

Fez.

Hi Fez,

Yes, I had a similar problem. I was able to work around it by opening the
certificate using Windows facilities (just double click) and exporting the
PKCS#7 contents (personal certificate and signer certificate) out as two
separate .cer files. I was then able to add the signer cert and receive the
personal cert separately.

I suspect that the new GSKit has problems with files which contain both the
signer and personal cert together.

Mind you, this is better than the GSKit with 6.0.2.1, which could not even
receive the signed certificate in .cer format either.

One of us should raise a case with IBM about the failure to receive using a
PKCS#7 file.

GSK7 Receive error on MQ 6.0.2.2

Hi everyone,

I am using MQ 6.0.2.2 on XP and Windows 2003.

I have created a GSK KeyStore, added the CA and create a Certificate
Request. I then get the #10 file signed and receive the #07 file.

When I attempt to -RECEIVE the #07 file back into my KeyStore I get an error
say that the file cannot be loaded.

Has anyone else experienced problems -RECEIVING #07 files using GSK7CMD on
MQ 6.0.2.2 on the above platforms.

Regards
Fez.
