All,

I am just in the process of migrating to MQ V6.0.2.2 Solaris SPARC.

When I run my setmqaut commands I am seeing some strange behaviour
regarding the remote queues.

If I grant the following profile:

setmqaut -m QMGR1 -n QUEUE.FIRST.** -t queue -g group +put +setall
+setid

I can see the proflie it when I list out the object authorities, but I
cannot see the profile under Explorer, nor does the group have the
necessary authority to put to the queue.

If I grant the same but using the explorer is also accepts the command
and I can see the profile natively but not in explorer.

If I run the following

setmqaut -m QMGR1 -n QUEUE.FIRST.SECOND.** -t queue -g group +put
+setall +setid

I can see the proflie it when I list out the object authorities, but I
cannot see the profile under Explorer, nor does the group have the
necessary authority to put to the queue.

If I grant the same but using the explorer is also accepts the command
and I can see the profile natively and in explorer, and the queue has
the necessary authority.

What I don't understand is that the setmqauth commands using .** do not
seem to apply for remote queues when you run the natively. Yet when you
use a more specific profile i.e QUEUE.FIRST.SECOND.** using the explorer
gui it seems to work, although nort when granting QUEUE.FIRST.**

Please note after each command I was running a 'refresh security'.
Queues have between 4 and 5 qualifiers in total as I understand that **
does not work say with two qualifers.

Has anybody seen similar behaviour with Version 6? I did not have this
issue on 5.3.

thanks

Gary
