Hi, OS: OpenBSD 2.9 Perl 5.8.3 compiled from source (default) RRDtool 1.0.46 compiled from source (sh configure -prefix=/usr/local/rrdtool --enable-shared)
no problems in compiling logged in as root. rrdtool works OK started from the command line examples/piped-demo.pl works OK examples/shared-demo.pl and all other example scripts (using RRDs.pm) fail with: Memory fault (core dumped) The RRDs::create and RRDs::update commands in the example scripts cause the memory fault failure, other commands e.g. RRDs::info, RRDs::fetch, etc don't cause the memory fault error. I have the perl.core file, but it's a bit beyond me. What tool do I need to analyse this file? The same problem happens when I try to integrate rrdtool with mrtg. The mrtg fails with "Memory fault". Does the "piped" version of mrtg perl script exist? That would solve my problem. please let me know if you need any other info.
