Having searched the archives of both the development and user mailing lists I am aware that this topic has come up several times. >From the archives and documentation it is my understanding that RRA boundaries occur at multiple step sizes from UTC. As such whenever trying to general daily summaries the boundaries are generated at midnight UTC. Similarly when generating weekly values these seem to occur on a Wednesday (1/1/1970 was a Thursday) I am unfortunately working in multiple timezones both on the collection side and visual display and am measuring discrete items such as fault calls. Therefore having the boundaries in the correct place is important. In one mail thread it was suggested that it could be possible to base the "origin" of the RRAs at the specified start of the RRD file rather then UTC. I guess, Is this still being considered / in the pipeline? Do other people think this would be useful? Thanks Andy PS - I've been using RRDTOOL for years however am now only had to look into this closely now as now have to think EST centric as well rather then just GMT!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This message is intended only for the personal and confidential use of the designated recipient(s) named above.
