Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this. I have written a perl script that does a snmp query, does some calculations and produces the values. When I execute the script from the command line, it produces the output in this format: [EMAIL PROTECTED] scripts]# perl /home/networks/mrtg/scripts/vpdn_windhoek.pl 0 0 nodate Windhoek VPDNs However, when mrtg calls the exact same cript, it produces this error: 2003-11-28 13:58:00 -- Started mrtg 2003-11-28 13:58:02 -- WARNING: Could not get any data from external command 'perl /home/networks/mrtg/scripts/vpdn_windhoek.pl' Maybe the external command did not even start. (Illegal seek) Mrtg is running as root on the machine and is executing a number of other scripts with the same rights in the same directory, so it cannot be a rights issue. Is it related to the way that mrtg interprets the values being passed back from the scipt? Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try? Regards, Jaco Muller
