I am new to this but eager to get to know it and use it more effectively. Below is the config that runs on my home lab of an HPUX box. Pretty simple stuff and works to certain extent. First issue I have is that the device "anubis" is one of two Sun boxes in that mix. I can walk it and see the results but the mrtg graph is consistently flatline. The graph itself says the primay lan interface is a 10 meg, the box has a quad fast Ethernet and a Fore ATM card. My home network runs on LANE. The device lmv_sw4 is a FORE es3810 and uplinks the devise still using Ethernet to the ASX switch via fibre (lmv_sw5) Again, walking shows all the Ethernets on it but it would be nice to poll by port so I can see who is doing what. For intstance lmv_ap1 is a Cisco Aironet access point that connects to that switch, can't walk that at all despite being set up correctly. If anyone can shed any light or assistance I would greatly appreciate it. I will comment what some of this is. ./cfgmaker --global "WorkDir: /opt/apache/htdocs" \ --global "Htmldir: /opt/apache/htdocs" \ --global "Imagedir: /opt/apache/htdocs/images" \ --global "Logdir: /opt/apache/htdocs/logs" \ --global "Icondir: /opt/apache/htdocs/icons" \ --global "Options[_]: growright, bits" \ --ifref=ip \ --show-op-down \ --community=public \ [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # Cisco ES3810 router - no issues [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # FORE ES3810 Workgroup Switch with ATM uplink - would like by port [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # FORE ASX200WG - ATM switch - atm - show overall utilization - would like by port [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # Cisco Aironet access point - can't walk it [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # Sun Ultra 1 - solaris 7 - firewall - atm - flatline all the time [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # Dual Xeon Win2k server - atm - no issues [EMAIL PROTECTED] \ # Sun Ultra 2 - 100 meg ethenet - no issues [EMAIL PROTECTED] > /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/mrtg.cfg # HP9000 K420 - runs Network Node Manager and MRTG - no issues Gavin Westermann Internetworking Operations - Global Accounts Enterprise Management Center, AT&T Canada (905) 361-6126
