A shot in the dark, but that 2nd number is larger than 32-bits.  Only the
most recent (two I think) versions of MRTG (rateup, specifically) will
support up to 64-bit numbers.  What version of MRTG do you have?

Normaly MRTG draws a smal red line at MaxBytes, but in some cases the
unscaled option shows no effect to the Graph.
