Have you looked into netflow? I believe you should be able to use it on a 2600. http://www.caida.org/tools/measurement/cflowd/ I will warn you that we have had some issues with it (i.e., some of the features on our 7304's are apparently incompatible with netflow--but this is less likely to be a problem with a 2600, I think).
