Kris, You must have specified the option --ifdesc=descr, meaning that on the index page for your graphs, they will be labelled with the value found in the Description: section of the PageTop area.
If indexmaker can't find a Description: value, it generates that error. In the below example, the graph label on the index page would be 'Access Ethernet', note that it is followed by a space, I believe this is required. And the Interface name comes first, I also believe this is necessary too. Anyway, ensure that you have a pagetop section along with Description: Simon PageTop[XXXXXXX]: <H1>FastEthernet6/0/0 -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]</H1> <TABLE> <TR><TD>System:</TD> <TD>[EMAIL PROTECTED] in </TD></TR> <TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD> <TD></TD></TR> <TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>FastEthernet6/0/0 Access Ethernet </TD></TR> <TR><TD>ifType:</TD> <TD>ethernetCsmacd (6)</TD></TR> <TR><TD>ifName:</TD> <TD>Fa6/0/0</TD></TR> <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD> <TD>100 Mbits/s</TD></TR> <TR><TD>Ip:</TD> <TD>XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX </TD></TR> </TABLE> On Tue, 24 Feb 2004, Kris Da San Martino wrote: > When running the indexing program on a newly .cfg file I get the > following error. > > ERROR: No Description: Line PageTop property in xxxx section. > Here xxxx is the name of the server I'm trying to monitor. > > Thanks for your help > Kris > > -- > Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg > FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org > WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- Simon Watts Network Architect 180 Burnley St [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ph +61 3 8414 3126 Richmond Connect Internet Sol.
